Random Hacks of Kindness
Heather Leson came by the last Social and let us know about an event happening next weekend (June 4-5). She’s excited about getting game developers involved and there are some coders available to collaborate with.
Toronto is joining 18 cities for the global event: Random Hacks of Kindness on June 4 -5, 2011. We’d like to invite you to join us. RHoK is sponsored globally by the World Bank, NASA, Google, Microsoft and Yahoo.
RHoK is software developers, open data hackers, project managers, graphic designers, videographers, emergency managers, technologists, researchers, idea hackers, storytellers, technical writers, and logistics geeks.
We will brain on solutions for humanitarian aid, climate change and disaster risk reduction.
We’ve got 40 people signed up. We’re expecting about 60.
Toronto is a satellite event, so we could use a hand with sponsors and volunteers.
For more details, see Heather’s blog post or check out the press release.
