Is there any cost? Age restriction? (it’s in a bar, after all)

There is no cost, and AFAIK there are no age restrictions — unless you want to buy alcoholic drinks of course.

They’ve got an espresso machine that’s pretty good too :)

There is, of course, an awesomeness restriction. You must be *this awesome* to enter.

(i’m positive you are sufficiently awesome. Hope to see you there!)

Metanet didn’t seem to be sure. But after a little Googling, it sounds like “Unit bar” is a “bistro”, so there shouldn’t be any legal difficulty. As for the awesomeness restrictions, I’m fairly certain whatever awesomeness scale they’re using will cease to work in my presence, due to system overload.

Bad news, we just checked with Unit and they said “Unfortunately since the establishment is a licensed one, we cannot have anybody under the age of 19 in the bar due to liquor laws.”

Sorry! This is something we’ll have to consider in the future, I had always assumed Unit was all-ages.

    I got the same message!
Thanks anyway; hopefully future events will be more accessible.

The video game industry is no place for children.

So we just walk in and shout “I’m here for games and drinks!!” I assume. I’ll try and make it out tonight, transportation permitting.
