Game Curious? Release, YYZ Gameshow at our AGM, and More Jan. Events!

Game Curious? Release Party

Game Curious? Release: Our Game Curious? program we held at the Toronto Reference Library late last year is presenting the games made during the Make initiative, where participants made their very first game over six weeks. Everyone, from the most to the least game-savvy, is invited to come out and play the games, enjoy some food and drink, and connect with a variety of people new to the community. It’s free and happening one week from today on:

Thurs., Jan. 22 at 6-8pm
Toronto Reference Library, Browsery
789 Yonge Street, near Bloor/Yonge Station

AGM and YYZ Gameshow Premiere: As usual, our Annual General Meeting will begin with a portion open to the public. But this year it will also be the debut of the YYZ Gameshow — a webseries pilot about Toronto game culture we’ve been working on with Curio and Bell Local. Check out the trailer! We’ll be screening the 24 minute pilot for the very first time at:

Sat. Jan. 31st at 1pm
Storefront Theatre
955 Bloor Street West, near Ossington Station

For those who have worked 10 volunteer hours in 2014 (for any game culture project in Toronto, not just one of ours), this is also the annual opportunity to register as a member and get voting rights (and an official membership card).

If you haven’t volunteered, you’re still invited to attend the public portion at the beginning, where we’ll be discussing our 2015 slate and giving you an opportunity to connect in person with the project coordinators.

Our by-laws and minutes from previous AGMs are here.
